We are finally settled!

Good-Bye Tucson House!
So we are finally in our new home! It has been awhile since I have posted anything, so I will try and pack as much into this blog as I can.

Zaidan Feeding himself!

Zaidan:

1) goes to daycare to socialize two days a week. They are fantastic and he does art projects!

2) Can walk. He takes about 10 steps at a time, but it is super cute.

3) Turns one in a month! Time sure flies.

4) Says Da and Ma and Ba (ball, bottle, its used a lot).

5) Has major character and loves everyone. We never had the stranger anxiety set in.

6) Stays home with Daddy every day so has turned into a daddy's boy.

7) Eats only table food. Shakes his head "no" to baby food!

I work a lot. The job is good, interesting and I am getting into the swing of things. We are enjoying our time in Wisconsin. It seems that every weekend is another festival, or something new to do.
I'll post a bunch of pics. Z is growing up fast!

The new Scotch tape baby!

So I give Zaidan all the toys in the world and what does he play with? A box of scotch tape and my step-chest. He thinks it is a blast! He played forever putting it in the drawer and then taking it out and talking to it.

Pretty much anything he isn't supposed to have, he gets into.

We move three weeks from tomorrow. We are off to WI tomorrow to maybe find a place to live!

Keep in touch!

Z's new tricks

So I have learned in the last week that my son is a SPONGE. Fred taught him in one day how to shake his head no to everything I say to him. Great! And he is staying home with Z when we move so I am really excited to see what he teaches him next.

Z can crawl. Not a little bit, but super sneaky, super fast moving. He is tricky!

He can also pull himself up and walk along our furniture...not cool because we have all tile floor and I am worried he is going to fall and hurt himself. But he sure is proud of himself when he does it.

He eats big boy food now. He loves chicken and stars, minus the broth. He eats rice, eggs, whatever he steals off my plate~

He also has another tooth on top. So we are at 3 teeth, with another coming through anyday now. He has the cutest little smile.

So we officialy have 3.5 weeks left before we move to WI. nothing is ready for the move, but hopefuly I can finish it this week. We go to WI on Wednesday to see about finding a house to live in. I am hoping for one of those old homes thats been redone completely...hoping....a lot.

I'll post more pics of Z ASAP!

Family pictures

Hello all! So I decided to start blogging about what our family does because everyone wants to know how little Z is, and this is the easiest way to get to everyone at once.

We went to Sears on Saturday for family pictures. Zaidan decided he didn't want to work with the photographer on her poses, so he made his own up. I think he knew more what he was doing than she did though because the pictures are too cute! Here are a few of my favorites:

So I think he is hysterical. SO new news in the world of master Zaidan. He has learned to scream when he wants me or Fred's attention. This is not a fun sound. He shrieks as loud as he can while looking at us, and then he laughs when he gets our attention. He is ROTTEN, but too adorable.

Hmmm more family news:

1. I took a job at SC Johnson in Racine, WI. This is about an hour north of Chicago, so back to the cold for us.
2. Fred will be going back to school. I think in business right now...and then law school. SO basically we are switching roles, but school is good!
3. I have a new nephew. His name is Liam and he was 9 lbs 6 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. He was born March 19, at the exact time I was winning a big Women in Toxicology award which was pretty cool too.
4. I graduate May 16. I defend my dissertation May 14...so busy busy, because I then start my new job on May 19. I like to pack it all in.

Well I am off to run a big experiment that hopefully works so I can graduate and finish my last two papers...
